HomeYear-end Trip to Bacolod City Photos By Marcos Detourist on January 9, 2010Went to Bacolod City during the last days of 2009 to be at my lolo’s wake and burial. Sneaked in some shots of the city during my free time and got to visit the New Bacolod-Silay Airport, while fetching some of our relatives. Also, took some night shots of the Lacson Ruins in Talisay since my grandparents’ house is just nearby.Iloilo – Bacolod FerryBacolod City Talisay CitySilay CityNew Bacolod-Silay AirportDon’t leave yet. Joanne saysAugust 30, 2011 at 4:12 amHi…. I have a flight arriving Iloilo at 5pm… I need to go directly to Bacolod City? Would you mind helping me figure it out??? Thanks and more travels to you! Marcos saysAugust 31, 2011 at 6:45 amYou’d miss the last trip to Bacolod already. If you’re bent on going directly to Bacolod, I suggest going taking the RORO (slow) ferry from Dumangas town in Iloilo (there are no RORO enroute to Bacolod directly from Iloilo City. Ride a jeepney/van/taxi to Dumangas from “Baldoza Terminal” in La Paz District, Iloilo City or “Tagbak Terminal” in Jaro District (I think you’d have better chances at Tagbak). Travel time from Iloilo to Dumangas is around 20 minutes. From Dumangas town proper, ride a tricycle/single motorcycle to Dumangas Port. ROROs depart from Dumangas Port least every two hours, less frequent during nighttime.
