Nineteen days taking a much-needed breather in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and then enjoying the cosmopolitan sights of Singapore, mostly on foot.

This was the last leg of my trip around South and South East Asia. I stayed five days in Kuala Lumpur after flying in from Kathmandu, Nepal. My time in KL was mostly spent walking around Chinatown area and enjoying the food.

I was craving for some rest and time to catch up on things I missed online, so I wasn’t feeling the urge to go crazy with my travel itinerary… especially because I had been to KL and Singapore a bunch of times already.

I traveled to Singapore by bus and I stayed the whole time in an HDB (public housing). This time, I got to experience a bit of the local lifestyle. Exploring the city on foot was something that I loved to do. I roamed around Orchard Road, Bugis, Arab Street, Chinatown, Sentosa, Clark Quay, Esplanade, Little India, and Marina Bay area up until the Marina Barrage.

Some of my firsts that happened on this trip include a tour of the River Safari, visiting the Gardens by the Bay, and cycling around peaceful Pulau Ubin (Island).
