I had to take pictures of my trip though, so I just took stolen shots instead and planned on putting a lomo effect to compensate for the lack of composititon. Here’s my Lomo Manila Series (I hope I don’t offend Lomo purists because I’m not very familiar with this style of photography):<p style=”text-align: center;”> Don’t leave yet. I’ve called the Caluya municipality’s contact number that you gave me and the person who took my call said I have the wrong number. I also emailed the address you have shared but i think it’s no longer valid as it bounces back to me. Would you happen to have another contact number or email where I can ask questions regarding boat trips to Caluya? I really appreciate any help. We’ll be traveling to Caluya in the first week of April. Thanks a lot. markey saysFebruary 26, 2009 at 4:12 pmis this lomo the real one? or just edited to look like lomo? its nice ha…. cool astig! chymera00 saysMarch 2, 2009 at 7:35 pmThanks :) Its fake lomo, hehe. Edited lng sa photoshop chymera00 saysMarch 2, 2009 at 7:36 pm@Gene: I’m sorry but I don’t have any other contact of Caluya :( gene saysMarch 4, 2009 at 5:03 pm@Marcos: Oks. Salamat guid. I tried calling Antique’s tourism office instead and according to the one Ive spoken to daily man daw ang trip. My friend and I are excited about this trip. Any tips before we go to Caluya? By the way, naglakat na sa cebu? so how was the trip? chymera00 saysMarch 5, 2009 at 7:31 pm^^ Nice … Be mindful of the weather report because Caluya is located in the open sea, so vulnerable ang town sa strong winds. The fare from Libertad to Caluya is P300++ one way. There are rooms for rent near the Caluya Municipal Hall in the main island. If you’re facing the Municipal Hall (right before the entrance) turn left and there’s an affordable pension house there (P100++ I think, but I’m not sure kung per room or per person). Caluya is a karay-a speaking town, so if you know how to speak the language, it’ll be easier to communicate with the locals. What I really enjoyed sa Caluya was eating sea urchins, the best kung raw and fresh from the sea :D. We also visited Sibato (or Sibay?!) Island, which is 5 mins by boat from the main island. One thing that I really wanted to do was to eat their coconut crab but they were not available during our visit, they say it’s very delicious and the coconut crab in Caluya is different from other coconut crabs in other areas like Batanes (the price they said was P500++ per kilo). We also didn’t get to visit Semirara Island because it was another 2-3 hour travel from the main island.Cebu was fun! But we were only there for 2 days and one night, which was a bummer because there are still a lot of places I wanted to visit. I hope I can have the time to post about it.Good Luck on your trip Gene! gene saysMarch 10, 2009 at 8:42 amThanks for the tips. I’ll take note of everything you’ve said.
