Day 1

Sea + land travel from Langkawi (Malaysia) to Krabi (Thailand) via Satun, then Krabi to Phi Phi Islands.

  • 7:30am – Ride taxi from Cenang Beach to Kuah – RM24 contract rate
    • Split fare with another traveler
  • 8:30am – Arrival at Kuah Ferry Terminal

Malaysia to Thailand

  • Arrival at Kuah Ferry Terminal, Langkawi Island, Malaysia
  • Pass Malaysian immigration
  • Ride Kuah to Satun ferry – RM30
  • 9:30am – Arrival at Satun Ferry Terminal, Thailand
  • Pass Thailand immigration

Satun to Krabi

  • Ride Satun Ferry Terminal to Satun Bus Terminal motorcycle taxi – B60
  • 10:10am – Arrival at Satun bus terminal
  • Buy bus ticket at the counter
  • 10:15am – Departure from Satun bus terminal
  • Ride Satun to Krabi bus (5 hours) – B234
    • 12:00nn – Lunch stop in Trang
      • Fish curry, beef curry, rice – B40
  • 3pm- Arrival at Krabi bus terminal
  • Inquire at tourism information office about transportation to Krabi Town
  • Ride motorcycle taxi from Krabi bus terminal to Krabi town – B60
    • Minibus from Krabi bus terminal to Krabi town – B50 (according to the tourism information)
    • Drop off at Pak-up hostel

Day 2

  • 7:00am – check-out at Good Dream Guest House

Krabi to Phi Phi Don Island

  • Wait for the free shuttle to the ferry terminal at Good Dream Guest House
  • 8:30am – Ride free shuttle to Krabi Ferry Terminal
  • 9:30am – Ride ferry from Krabi to Phi Phi Don (2 hours)
  • 11:30am – Arrive at Phi Phi Don Ferry Terminal

  • Inquire at Pak-up hostel
    • Fan dorm – B200
  • Walk to Good Dream Guest House
    • Double fan room (shared TB) – B300 per night
      • Split the room with another traveler I met
