HomeAsiaPhilippinesVisayasIloiloDingle, Iloilo Road Trip By Marcos Detourist on December 25, 2009During the drive back to Iloilo from Roxas City, Capiz, we decided to take a stop over in Dingle, Iloilo. Eric wanted to visit Dingle Church since he’s never been there before, mostly probably because the poblacion or town center of Dingle is not directly along the main highway. If you’re commuting, you have to ride a jeep or motorcycle to go Dingle Church.Dingle is one of my favorite old churches of Iloilo. The Dingle Catholic Church was built in 1886. This church of Baroquial style is made of limestone quarried from Bulabog Mountain, painstakingly carried by the early parishioners through narrow, steep and dangerous trails to the present site.Since I’ve explored much of Dingle already, I took Eric, Junjunn, and Junelle to see the other interesting sights in town.Cry of Lincud MonumentJalaur River and the old Suspension BridgeMoroboro DamDingle CemeteryOne of the sights along the main highwayWe also went to see the new City Hall of Passi.Don’t leave yet. Marcos saysAugust 16, 2012 at 3:37 pmAfternoon. But not too late in the afternoon, or else the shadow of trees in front of the church will cover part of the facade. Pao saysJanuary 4, 2013 at 10:51 pmThanks, will photograph the church this Feb 2013… I’ll try to be there by 2pm… Now, I have to figure out the proper sun light time for Duenas and Passi church… Marcos saysJanuary 8, 2013 at 11:55 amCool.
