Disney’s Zack and Cody would certainly disagree. Having seen my fair share of “The Suite Life on Deck,” I’ve always been curious about the experience traveling on a cruise. When I found out I was going to do it for the first time, I did have my reservations. I found out, later on, thought that “cruising” did have its many upsides. Our shuttle service dropped us off at the Harbourfront Centre cruise terminal. While waiting for our boarding call at 4PM, we had some extra time to explore the Harbourfront Centre and VivoCity Mall. I spent the rest of my afternoon rifling through the store in VivoCity. Bought a pair of shorts inI spent the rest of my afternoon rifling through the store in VivoCity. Bought a pair of shorts in UNIQLO … wish they open a store in Manila (or better yet, in Iloilo). Got curious since it was my first time to discover a way to get to Sentosa Island by foot.View of Superstar Virgo from VivoCity / Sentosa BoardwalkBoarding SuperStar Virgo cruise shipSimilar to flight check-ins at the airport, there was also an organized system for boarding the cruise. It basically took two steps: (1) leave luggage at the check-in counters and (2) go through Singaporean immigration counters. Cruising is a relaxing way to travel, isn’t it. Marcos saysSeptember 13, 2011 at 4:56 pmYep six for each major meal, 2 snacks, and supper. They give out a card, which they swipe whenever you eat at the restaurants. They have booze sold on board, I think. Yes its very relaxing. If I only have all the money in the world, I’d make it a regular part in my itineraries :D callphilippines saysSeptember 13, 2011 at 11:06 amwow… very nice! :) would love to take this one day… shaz gepana saysOctober 26, 2011 at 10:16 amsuper nice:) macky saysJune 26, 2012 at 10:00 pmSir, passport (stamped with visa) lang ba ang kailangan pag sumakay dito. Can I ask, what are the other options for those who don’t choose the shore excursions at KL? Are we allowed to venture out on our own or do we have to stay on board/ within the port premises? Thanks! Marcos saysFebruary 2, 2013 at 9:13 pmYeah, you can venture on your own. There’s no convenient public transport from the port, so you’d have to take the taxi. If you skip the shore excursion, my advice is to take the taxi anyways to maximize time and make sure you don’t miss the boat departure back to Singapore. gail saysMarch 14, 2013 at 2:34 pmSir, we will be on board at Superstar Virgo on May 2013, may I just ask if your passport were stamped at Malaysia? I have read to other blogs that passports will be collected upon check-in at Harbourfront SG.
