If you have a whole day to explore Iloilo and would want to venture outside the city, Southern Iloilo is one of the best routes to take since the main attractions are just along the highway and the road conditions are very good. The towns along Iloilo’s southern coast include (from nearest to farthest): Oton, Tigbauan, Guimbal, Miagao, and San Joaquin. During the drive back to Iloilo from Roxas City, Capiz, we decided to take a stop over in Dingle, Iloilo. Eric wanted to visit Dingle Church since he’s never been there before, mostly probably because the poblacion or town center of Dingle is not directly along the main highway. If you’re commuting, you have to ride a jeep or motorcycle to go Dingle Church.

The last time I visited Roxas City in Capiz was in grade school. I still remember hanging out at my cousins’ house, running around Baybay Beach, and indulging in loads of seafood. My recent 3 day visit to Roxas City was definitely a major dose of nostalgia since it made me reminisce those fun memories when I was a kid. Thankfully, our busy schedule had distracted me from dwelling too much into emo mode. During the trip, I was with Junelle, JunJunn, Eric, Sheila and a few college classmates living in Roxas City. Our main agenda was witnessing the Western Visayas Tourism Assembly (WVTA) 2009 and touring Roxas City and Pan-ay.

Last week me and my friends most of which I met over at flickr, went photo tripping in Antique province. We visited a few spots in Southern Antique (Anini-y, Hamtic, and San Jose) for a day trip. We first met at Molo Terminal, Iloilo City where a few van drivers were squabbling for our attention, we had to choose between a spacious new looking Mercedes Benz Van and an L300 van, which looked like it had experienced too many trips. We picked the L300 van because the driver promised to leave immediately for us. We were lucky enough because the driver was very friendly and even made a deal with us to take us to where we wanted to go until Hamtic and San Jose and then take us back to Iloilo City.
