Finally, after reading and hearing so much about the world famous Mangoes of Guimaras, I got to eat and savor its sinful sweetness. Our first stop in Guimaras was in a market called “Alibhon” in Nueva Valencia town in Guimaras.
They say Guimaras Mangoes are the sweetest in the world. I only bought 1 piece since I didn’t want to bring along a whole kilo during the trip. I’m sorry to say but it wasn’t the sweetest I’ve tasted :) Maybe it was because I didn’t know how to pick the right mango or the particular harvest wasn’t good. Nevertheless, the mango was delicious and sweet enough. I enjoyed eating it while we were on the multicab ride to the beach.

Bordz maayo k gid ah! BIlib gid ko ya s mga pictures mo. Daw matulo ang laway ko tan-aw sng paho bah….
Thanks cute daddy.
nice photos. so these are the mangoes of Guimaras… though the one you picked wasnt the sweetest youve tasted, im satisfied with the fact that it goes exporting.
and the plantation.. huge.
and btw, cute daddy’s dialect reminds me of my boss nun way back college years when i was a student assistant. she’s dear to me. she hailed from jaro, iloilo. i find the dialect malambing.
hi
me and my cousins are planning for a 2 days 1 night tour in guimaras by next weekend since we already booked for a flight to iloilo city, could you suggest an itinerary for us to make our tour “sulit”…
btw, thanks to your blogs they helped me to be familiar w/the places i want to explore
I suggest doing an island hopping tour from Alubihod and then a trip to Guisi Beach and Lighthouse.
