A few months ago Cebu Pacific announced a very enticing “Wandering Juan” contest for travel bloggers. The goal was to highlight the best posts by travel bloggers under a number of different categories. I wrote a few posts about by recent travels myself and sent them as entries for the “Cebu Pacific “Wandering Juan” contest.
During the August 13, 2010 episode of “Trip na Trip”, a travel show in ABS-CBN, the winners were announced as follows:
Adventure and Sports

Ada Lajara of Adaphobic
The prizes include 3 days and 2 night accommodation to one of Cebu Pacific’s partner hotels and, for major awards, a one (1) unlimited travel pass to any Cebu Pacific domestic destination for two months. The winning entry I sent for the Leisure and Relaxation category was “My Relaxing Summer Break in Boracay.” I actually made a lot of effort with my “Survivor Palawan – A Solo Backpacker’s Travelogue” or its lighter version: “A Solo Traveler’s Photo Story of Backpacking in Palawan” and was hoping for favorable results in the Adventure and Sports Category. Nevertheless, I’m still very very happy that my post won. My friends know how anxious I’ve been with my entries the whole month of July since I really wanted to win the prize. I’m relieved that all my efforts paid off.
So thank you Nica, Angie, Toks, and Vince for putting up with me and of course to Cebu Pacific Airlines for this wonderful opportunity!
In the Philippine Ilonggo dialect, ambot ah literally means "I don't know." After graduating in college, I decided to hold off pursuing my profession and embarked on a free spirited journey of adventure and self-discovery. My travels have led me to many places across the Philippine Islands and South East Asia. I don't know where this path will take me but I'm certain I'll get a lifetime of stories out of it.
