So how does the new Smart Bro Share it measure up in speedtest.net? I have saved screenshots of my speedtest.net results taken from different days and times.
When I connected to Smart Bro Share it for the first time; 8:30 pm

Two Hours Later; 10:30

I was actually ecstatic that Smart Bro had nearly met its published speeds. The draw back is its high ping rate. This is important since a high ping rate also limits the amount of bandwidth you can receive in your connection. During this time, I wasn’t able to watch Youtube videos without pausing.
Early Morning Today; 4am

Yes, you read that right … 3.06mbps during non peak hours. Youtube videos were loading without pausing.
Late Afternoon Today; 7pm

This totally blows! If it didn’t have a dual internet connection, I would be really suffering right about now. I’ve actually got speeds like this during peak hours since I installed Smart Bro share-it.
I have already contacted Smart Bro to fix this problem. I hope they resolve this issue.

hey guys..can u give me an advice? my share it has great signal but the problem is, internet speed is only 0.09, 0.18 tops..what shud i do? and by the way, theres a sticker in front of my share it kit that says do not close the share it homepage etc or the connection will be terminated..is that true?
smart can’t fix their problems, my internet connection is so slow i went to their office a couple of times and until now they have no remedy.i pay every month but still have no connection, im just making them rich but their services they cant provide.they say i can’t disconnect my connection because we have a contract of one year so i have to pay them the remaining months. even if they can’t provide a good service. what kind of contract is that.they should provide a better connection so i would be happy to pay them monthly
i tried to DSL and its better
dapat may action ang NTC or whatever corrupt agency responsible. Violation yun sa contract na nagbabayad tayo e wala namang good service na binibigay. wala na ba magawa ang ating gobyerno.
I’m actually getting a good signal, speed from SmartBro. It really depends on your area.
Anung area ka ba bro ako sa NAVOTAS so malapit lang sa manila. kaso sobrang bagal talaga, masama pa dun nawawala wala pa minsan. ayaw pa ngang sumagap minsan eh
Connection speed is very pathetic in Pioneer Mandaluyong area. heck I can’t even browse normal without constantly refreshing the page. Manong Johnny Enrile should do something about this.(“,)
SmartBro just released SurfTV! Check here for details: http://bit.ly/dgSi5R
what’s surftv?
I am experiencing latency issues and can’t connect to any of my work. This sucks because they don’t seem to be doing anything in particular about it.
that really kinda sucks… during the first two months, I had lots of time when I couldn’t connect. But now, it’s only during a few times a month.
Last night, the internet was so damn slow … like 7KBps. I decided to restart the router and the connection was fast and smooth again like 350KBps
Ipadisconnect nyo n lang yan w/o paying the lock in period(contract). For me I was able to unsucscribe to Smart Bro plug it plan 999 with a lock in period of 24 months. What I did was to build a case against them by recording all my speed test done at pldt.speedtest.net. Then whenever u call their inutil csr always ask for a service request # and compile it.

If u are really dtermined to end your misery to any of the telcos, go to their wireless center where u subscribe with a letter( not just blaah, blaah) of complaint and a request to terminate you contract.
I subscribe to Smart on April 20, 2010 and I successfully terminate my contract on May 12, 2010 due to their fucked up service.
