During the drive back to Iloilo from Roxas City, Capiz, we decided to take a stop over in Dingle, Iloilo. Eric wanted to visit Dingle Church since he’s never been there before, mostly probably because the poblacion or town center of Dingle is not directly along the main highway. If you’re commuting, you have to ride a jeep or motorcycle to go Dingle Church.

Dingle is one of my favorite old churches of Iloilo. The Dingle Catholic Church was built in 1886. This church of Baroquial style is made of limestone quarried from Bulabog Mountain, painstakingly carried by the early parishioners through narrow, steep and dangerous trails to the present site.

Since I’ve explored much of Dingle already, I took Eric, Junjunn, and Junelle to see the other interesting sights in town.
Cry of Lincud Monument

Jalaur River and the old Suspension Bridge

Moroboro Dam

Dingle Cemetery

One of the sights along the main highway

We also went to see the new City Hall of Passi.
