A Whole Afternoon of Giant Burgers and Sinful Desserts
Me and whyte set out one afternoon for a food treat in two of Iloilo’s niche restaurants. We had lunch in Perri Todd’s, known for their delectable giant burgers and Nothing but Desserts, which specializes in serving sinfully sweet desserts.

Perri Todd’s All American Burger
When it started out, Perri Todd’s created a buzz in Iloilo City for their giant sized grilled burgers priced at only P100. Due to a growing number of patrons, Perri Todd’s has grown from a mere take out joint to a full dine in restaurant. Me and whyte were invited to taste their new Premium Burger, which they sell for P220. Over all, I found their Premium Burher delicious though, I probably won’t dare eating it alone next time since I already felt my stomach reach its threshold after just consuming 3/4s of it. The only thing I didn’t like about it is that its greasier than their original grilled burger (I easily get lightheaded when eating fatty foods) and it’s two times as expensive.

Just imagine the size of this thing!

Perri Todd’s is located along Cuartero St., in Jaro District, Iloilo City. You can find it across Jaro I Elementary School.

Nothing But Desserts
In recent years, coffee and pastry shops have proliferated Iloilo City. Specialized / niche coffee shops like Nothing but Desserts have also sprung up to those who seek a distinct and classier experience. Nothing but Desserts has launched a new line of cakes and pastries and invited us to try their sweet treats.
First up was their Chocolate Medley (middle), Staciatella (right), and French Meringue (left).

Then the Pistachio Cake

We particularly liked the French Meringue, which had a delicious incorporation of coconut flavor… we were told that it took months to perfect its taste.

Next up, the Pavlova of Nothing but Desserts. Pavlova is a meringue-based dessert traditionally decorated with a topping of whipped cream and fresh fruit of sweet/tart flavours. It is characterized as having a cripy crust on the outside and chewy inside. Nothing but Desserts serves Strawberry, Blueberry, Blackberry, and Grape Pavlova.

Pavlova is a popular dessert of Australia and New Zealand and an important part of the national cuisine of both countries.

The Lavazza Coffee was a perfect match to the delicious desserts we tasted. Lavazza is known as Italy’s favorite coffee.

The verdict. As you can see, we really liked their desserts. We could have finished all of it but whyte and I were too full to take any more spoonfuls.

Nothing but Desserts is located in The Avenue, the newest dining and entertainment complex in Smallville, Iloilo City’s Nightlife Center.
