Deemed by the Department of Tourism as the “Christmas Capital of Western Visayas,” the town of Pototan in Iloilo fills its sprawling plaza with a flurry of colorful lights every December, attracting thousands from all over Iloilo and nearby provinces in Panay Island. Here’s some pictures during the opening night of its “IWAG Festival of Lights” this 2009.

I always miss this colorful Christmas lights in Pototan shown every December. I should make it a point next time to stay in Pototan on another December to catch a glimpse of this yearly scene…
