Aliwan 2009 sa Manila – Witnessing the Festivals of Festivals at last!

I’ve been covering the annual Aliwan Fiesta for two years already but I’ve never got to see it personally because of schedule conflicts when I was still in college. Now that I’m free, I’m finally going to Manila this last week of April to watch the spectacle from the streets of Manila. Thanks for Zest Air for offering a Manila to Ilolo flight for only P488, I can afford the transportation costs … food and other travel expenses will be, as usual, on a minimum budget. I just really want to watch Aliwan. I’ll be arriving in Manila on the 23rd and leaving on the 27th. I’ve read from reviews that Zest Air flights are very comfortable since they are using a brand new custom made A320 and they have unlimited Zest-O products on board, sweet! Hopefully I’ll be able to meet my friends from college and skyscrapercity during the trip. I’m also looking forward to revisit old manila and visit more of newer places in Manila.

Is Zest Air new? Wow! I guess that’s what my friend used to go home in Iloilo. I could not believe it when she mentioned only 400 plus and she was in Iloilo from makati! Very affordable!

Is that new? Never saw Iloilo since Nov 2006… Hidlaw nko. :(

Zest Air is the former Asian Spirit, before it was bought by the owner of Zest-O. Diin ka subong ga base haw? …

Yeah, I guess it goes also with the whole country. All you see is contrasts.

Bag-o na gali planes sang Zest-Air. May bad experience ako sa Asian Spirit last year, so I am quite apprehensive about taking Zest Air (formerly Asian Spirit) but if they are using new planes then I might try flying with Zest Air. Is the 400++ rate inclusive of fuel charges, etc.? Pwede karequest, post mo sana flying experience mo with Zest Air para we’ll know if it’s okay.

Yes the P488 is all-in already. When you go to the airport, you’ll only need to pay the terminal fees. Sige, I’ll make a review of zest air next time.

[...] I hadn’t had the chance to walk around the streets of Makati when I was in high school and college because I didn’t go to Manila that often in the first place (none at all in college, actually).
