Some food shots of three restaurants in The Avenue, Smallville taken recently. The three restaurants include Amalfi (Italian), Mojave (Grill and Steakhouse), and Bauhinia (Filipino). All handheld and used only natural lighting. This set-up works fairly well with food photography. If the lighting is poor or if you’ve got shaky hands, better use a tripod to get crisp photos. The hardest part of the shoot was actually being in front of these delicious looking dishes for hours and not being able to eat them.

Chef Miner was the one who prepared the dishes, his work is really good! That guy has some mad skills. Not only is the presentation great but the food tastes superb too.

Great photos! I’ve been to Bauhinia thrice (I have yet to try everything!)and I was pleased with the food and the service. Next on my list are the other two restos. Keep up with the great photography =)
You’re a suki already, hehe? They have a lot of interesting stuff in their menu, I’d like to try all of them too but I’ll end up with a black hole in my wallet. Oh BTW, the Texas Pork Ribs in Mojave is good.
